Website Objective: To design and develop a visually engaging, informative website for SYLC Export that effectively communicates their services in the car export industry, improves lead generation, and is easy for the internal team to update.
SYLC Export specializes in international car export services, targeting clients who seek streamlined, reliable export solutions. They required a website that would showcase their expertise, provide a smooth user experience, and make it easy for potential customers to understand their services and contact them. The Divi Theme in WordPress was chosen for its customizable page-building options, flexibility, and compatibility with the client’s ongoing content needs.
Goals
- Professional and Industry-Specific Design: Create a site that conveys SYLC Export’s expertise in car exports and logistics, reinforcing trust and professionalism.
- Clear Service and Process Presentation: Make information about car export processes, services, and FAQs easily accessible and comprehensible.
- Lead Generation Focus: Incorporate well-placed contact forms, calls-to-action (CTAs), and clear navigation to encourage inquiries.
- Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure a seamless experience for users across all devices.
- SEO Optimization: Implement an SEO-friendly structure to drive organic traffic and improve visibility in relevant searches.
Design & Development Process
1. Discovery Phase
- Client Consultation: Conducted an initial consultation with SYLC Export’s team to understand their target markets, competitive positioning, and key differentiators in the car export industry.
- Competitor Research: Analyzed websites of similar companies in the automotive export and logistics sector to identify best practices, user expectations, and industry-specific design elements.
- User Persona Development: Developed personas for SYLC Export’s audience, including individual clients and dealerships, guiding both design and content to address their specific concerns and interests.
2. Planning & Strategy
- Site Architecture and Navigation: Designed a simple, clear navigation structure that included key pages such as Home, About, Services, Process, FAQs, Blog, and Contact.
- Wireframes and Page Layouts: Created wireframes and page layouts to establish visual hierarchy and flow, prioritizing clarity and ease of navigation. This stage helped organize content into digestible sections for a better user experience.
- Content Strategy: Focused on highlighting SYLC Export’s car export expertise, benefits of their services, and providing answers to common customer questions.
3. Design Phase Using Divi Theme
- Theme Customization in Divi: Leveraged Divi’s drag-and-drop builder to create custom page layouts that highlighted SYLC Export’s key service offerings. The builder allowed for flexibility in design while maintaining consistency across all pages.
- Brand Integration and Visual Design: Used SYLC Export’s brand colors, logo, and typography to create a cohesive look. Choose a color scheme that reinforced professionalism (blues, grays, and whites) with accent colors to guide users’ attention to CTAs and important information.
- User-Engaging Elements: Added interactive elements such as hover effects, animated counters (e.g., number of cars exported), and a step-by-step process timeline to visually demonstrate SYLC Export’s service process.
4. Development Phase in WordPress
- Frontend Development with Divi Modules: Used Divi’s extensive module library to create feature sections, such as service descriptions, testimonial sliders, and contact forms, without needing custom code. This approach allowed for rapid development and easy future content updates.
- Backend Development and CMS Setup: Configured WordPress for content management, allowing SYLC Export to manage their blog, FAQs, and service pages. This setup included Divi’s library and builder, enabling the client to edit and add content independently.
- Form Integration for Lead Generation: Integrated Divi’s contact form module on relevant pages and added specific inquiry forms for different services to capture client details and improve lead conversion.
- Service-Specific Pages and Process Timeline: Developed pages for individual services with a process timeline that outlines SYLC Export’s approach, making the information clear and easy to understand.
5. SEO & Performance Optimization
- Keyword Research and On-Page SEO: Conducted keyword research focused on terms like “international car export,” “automotive shipping,” and “overseas car transport.” Optimized on-page SEO elements, such as meta tags, headings, and alt text, for relevant keywords.
- Image Optimization and Code Minification: Compressed images and minimized CSS/JavaScript files using caching plugins, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience.
- Internal Linking and Structured Content: Used internal linking to guide users between related pages, such as from Services to FAQ or Contact, which also helped boost SEO.
6. Testing & Launch
- User Testing for Navigation and Clarity: Tested the website with several users to ensure the navigation was intuitive, forms were working correctly, and information was easy to locate. Adjustments were made based on feedback.
- Cross-Device and Browser Testing: Verified the website’s responsiveness across all major devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile) and browsers, ensuring a consistent and polished experience for all users.
- Final Review and Go-Live: Conducted a comprehensive pre-launch audit to ensure all content, links, and functionalities were working perfectly. The site was then launched on SYLC Export’s hosting platform.
Conclusion
The WordPress and Divi Theme-based design and development project for SYLC Export effectively met the client’s goals by providing a professional, responsive website that generates leads and presents information clearly. The use of Divi allowed for a visually engaging yet highly flexible design that SYLC Export can manage internally. The website now serves as an effective marketing tool, supporting SYLC Export’s growth and helping them connect with clients interested in car export services.
